AIR PURIFIERS FOR CAT HAIR

Are you a cat lover? If you are, you probably consider them part of the family and would never think of parting with them. But what if you suffer from allergy associated with pets odor and hair? Then you would probably should consider getting an air purifier.

Cats have a tendency to lick themselves with their tongues to clean their fur and paws.

The saliva from their mouths then become stuck to their fur and is released with any loose hair that may shed and can cause allergic reaction. If a person avoids breathing in the saliva, it is still possible that the dried particles of saliva could stick to a person’s skin and still cause an allergic reaction. Animal dander or the loose skin or hair that animals shed could also cause allergic reaction because cats’ fur collects pollen, dust, mold spores and other irritants. You probably have some allergy if you sneeze, have congestion, runny nose, itching, watery eyes, coughing and wheezing and eczema or rashes. In fact, of the 6 million people who have cats, the Humane Society say that an estimated 2 million are allergic to them but live with cats anyway.

If you are one of them, you should take some precautions together with buying air purifier for cat hair. For one, you should wash your cat every week. A study in the journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology found that doing this eliminates almost 80% of the airborne allergens. Rub your cat’s coat with damp micro fiber cloth daily to rub it of dander. Keep you cat out of the bedroom and make sure the room is closed all the time. And after you play with your cat, remove your clothes and keep it away from your room. You should also wash your face, hands and arms after grooming or playing with your cat to remove dander. If you have sinus problems, use a nasal irrigation. If you do this daily, it will reduce absorption of allergies by at least 50%. You can also use a vapor steam cleaner and a HEPA vacuum cleaner.
